Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy S26 FE in Malaysia, its more affordable option in the Galaxy S26 series.
As you would expect from a Fan Edition device, it aims to bring some of Samsung’s latest flagship features at a lower price point.
For this generation, the Galaxy S26 FE gets the newer Exynos 2500 processor, along with several camera and AI features introduced on Samsung’s latest flagship devices. This includes Super Steady with Horizontal Lock from the Galaxy S26 series and My FanCam, which was first introduced on Samsung’s latest foldables.
However, the Galaxy S26 FE is priced higher than its predecessor, with prices going up for comparable storage configurations. To keep the starting price under RM3,000, Samsung has reintroduced the smaller 128GB storage option.
Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Malaysia pricing and availability
The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is officially priced in Malaysia as follows:
- Galaxy S26 FE 8GB + 128GB – RM2,899
- Galaxy S26 FE 8GB + 256GB – RM3,299
- Galaxy S26 FE 8GB + 512GB – RM4,099
For comparison, last year’s Galaxy S25 FE was priced at RM3,099 for the 256GB version and RM3,699 for the 512GB version. This means you’re paying RM200 more for 256GB and RM400 more for 512GB with the new Galaxy S26 FE.
The Galaxy S26 FE is offered in three colours: Blueberry, Graphite and Pistachio.
According to Samsung Malaysia, the device will be available from 4th September 2026.
Galaxy S26 FE Special Launch Rebate
From 4th to 30th September 2026, Samsung is offering several launch promotions, including rebates of up to RM600 with selected bank cards or Shopee SPayLater. There’s also an exclusive rebate up to RM100 for Samsung Fans.
With the applicable launch rebates, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE can be yours from as low as RM2,499. Here’s how much it will cost with the full rebates:
- Galaxy S26 FE 8GB + 128GB – RM2,499 (RM400 off)
- Galaxy S26 FE 8GB + 256GB – RM2,799 (RM500 off)
- Galaxy S26 FE 8GB + 512GB – RM3,399 (RM700 off)
Samsung is also offering a six-month Google AI Pro trial (worth RM480) with the Galaxy S26 FE, which includes access to expanded AI features and 5TB of cloud storage.
Other launch offers include up to 30% off with selected multi-buy purchases and up to 12 months 0% instalment fees with SPayLater.
Samsung Galaxy S26 FE specs and features
Overall, the Galaxy S26 FE offers a minor incremental update from the Galaxy S25 FE. The single biggest upgrade is under the hood, with Samsung replacing the 4nm Exynos 2400 with the newer 3nm Exynos 2500 chip which powers the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
It retains a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. There’s also Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ and aluminium frame. The device still measures at 7.4mm slim as before but it is slightly heavier at 193g.
Around the back, Samsung has refreshed the appearance of the camera bump with a translucent camera island, giving the FE device a closer resemblance to the current Galaxy S26 family. This slight design tweak provides additional protection around the individual camera lenses.
The rear triple-camera setup remains unchanged. You still get a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera and an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom. Up front is a 12MP selfie camera which sits in a punch hole.
While the cameras themselves haven’t received a major hardware upgrade, Samsung is bringing over newer camera features from its flagship devices.
My FanCam, which was first introduced on the Galaxy Fold 8 series, lets you select a person to track after the video is recorded. Using Galaxy AI, it keeps the selected person centred in the frame and reframes the video as they move.
There’s also Super Steady with Horizontal Lock, a feature found on the Galaxy S26 series. It helps maintain a level horizon while recording Super Steady video, which should come in handy when you’re recording while moving.
Samsung also boasts improved Nightography with the Galaxy S26 FE, along with Photo Assist which lets you edit photos using natural language prompts. According to Samsung, users can use prompts to perform edits such as turning day into night, adding new elements or restoring missing parts of an image.
Galaxy S26 FE ships with Android 17 and One UI 9
The Galaxy S26 FE is the first Galaxy S26 series device to ship with One UI 9 out of the box, running on Android 17.
It gets Samsung’s latest Galaxy AI features, including an updated Now Brief which supports customisable briefing cards. Users can also create their own cards using a prompt.
Now Nudge has also been expanded to selected third-party apps and notifications, providing contextual suggestions based on what’s happening on the phone. Circle to Search with Google can now identify multiple items within a single image.
As you would expect from a flagship device, Samsung promises to offer seven generations of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the Galaxy S26 FE.
The battery remains unchanged at 4,900mAh and it continues to support 45W wired charging which claims to charge up to 69% in around 30 minutes. It also supports 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
Other features include 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and IP68-rated dust and water resistance.
