Introducing the new Samsung Galaxy S26 FE. There are quite a lot of changes overall – though most of it are mostly fine-tuning. To celebrate the launch of the new Galaxy S26 FE, Samsung is also having a bunch of promotional offers too.
So, let’s talk about the phone first. The Galaxy S26 FE is available in a total of 3 different colours – Pistachio which looks like minty, the Blueberry colour that looks like what we had last year – and finally, the ever-classic Graphite. Surprisingly, Samsung went back to a glossy finish for the S26 FE. The S25 FE last year had a matte finish.
The specs remains mostly the same, as the new Galaxy S26 FE will still have the 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, the same 4,900mAh battery, and also the same 45W wired fast charging. The cameras are also identical, as it has a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera. The camera bump did get flattened, so it’s definitely better-looking, in my opinion.
The new S26 FE will also be the first slab phone to be equipped with the Exynos 2500 chipset. This chipset had its own share of manufacturing issues at that time – was only equipped in the Galaxy Z Flip7. As flip and fold phones go, the performance will be throttled drastically – so this is going to be a rather unexpected opportunity to test the capabilities of the Exynos 2500, despite being about 1.5 years old at this point.
Of course, the Galaxy S26 FE will ship with the latest One UI 9.0 alongside all of the new expanded AI features too. All of the new features shown on the Galaxy Z Fold8 – like the upgraded Now Brief and Now Nudge, better nightography, Photo Assist, and My FanCam will all be found in the S26 FE. Plus, the Super Steady Video with Horizontal Lock found in the S26 series are also present here too.
Price and promotions
For this generation of the FE series, it will only have 8GB of RAM. However, Samsung also brought back the 128GB storage option. The launch prices are:
- 128GB @ RM2,899
- 256GB @ RM3,299
- 512GB @ RM4,099
Samsung has a bunch of promotional prices at launch:
- Up to RM600 rebate with SPayLater (BNPL) or bank (credit/debit card)
- Up to RM100 direct rebate for Samsung Fan (new or old)
The final, *actual* launch price will become:
- 128GB @ RM2,499 (RM400 discount)
- 256GB @ RM2,799 (RM500 discount)
- 512GB @ RM3,399 (RM700 discount)
