Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+, their latest lineup of flagship tablets, offering plenty of productivity features and tools backed by powerful hardware and large displays.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and S12+ Malaysia pricing
The Galaxy Tab S12 series will be available in Malaysia from 7 October onwards, and will come in Silver and Gray colourways. Here’s how much they cost:
- Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra WiFi, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM5,999
- Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra 5G, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM6,649
- Galaxy Tab S12+ WiFi, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM4,999
- Galaxy Tab S12+ 5G, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage – RM5,649
Form 7 October till 8 November, you’ll also be able to enjoy Samsung Malaysia’s launch promotions, which include free trials for applications such as Google AI Pro, Adobe Photoshop and iQiyi worth RM1,123.58, a bundled Book Cover Keyboard and S Pen worth up to RM1,208, along with RM500 and RM400 off the Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ respectively when using SPayLater or with a card from a partnering bank.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and S12+ specs
For the most part, both the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+ are fairly similar other than size and battery capacities. Both tablets come with a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 system-on-chip under the hood, with the flagship processor paired to 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage, along with support for up to 2TB of microSD storage. It runs Android 17 out of the box, skinned with OneUI 9 over it, along with seven years of software support.
You’ll also get plenty of productivity features and AI tools, such as three-way split screen, multi-window mode, note assist with S Pen, a dedicated Galaxy AI key for quick access, Storage Share for accessing files across compatible Galaxy devices, Quick Share and Gemini pre-installed. There’s support for Adobe Photoshop on the tablet too, optimised for S Pen, along with other tools like Clip Studio Paint, Goodnotes, LumaFusion and Notion.
Of course, the size is the main differentiating factor here, with the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra getting a massive 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, pushing a 2960 x 1848 resolution, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ gets a 12.6-inch, 2800 x 1752 panel instead. Both displays offer a 120Hz refrehs rate too, with a peak brightness of 1,600nits.
Besides that, the Ultra also gets a larger 11,600mAh battery while the Plus gets a 10,600mAh battery instead; both have 45W fast charging though. There’s also a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide front camera on both tablets, with the Ultra getting an additional 8MP ultrawide too.
Other features of note includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, a quad speaker setup with 4-channel spatial audio, along with a bundled S Pen stylus, Book Cover and Book Cover Keyboard; an additional metallic Pro keyboard is available too priced at RM1,599.
