KUALA LUMPUR: National Moto3 rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli produced an impressive fightback to climb 13 places and finish 12th in the San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli today.
Starting from 25th on the grid, the 19-year-old AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSI rider steadily worked his way through the field in the 20-lap race before crossing the line 22.335 seconds (s) behind the winner.
Championship leader Maximo Quiles of CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team emerged victorious after a thrilling last-lap battle, clocking 33 minutes 42.713 seconds (s) to edge pole-sitter David Almansa of Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP by just 0.021s.
Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Brian Uriarte completed an all-Spanish podium in third, 1.343s behind Quiles.

The championship will next head to the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg from Sept 18-20.
