Manchester United secured their third consecutive victory with a 1-0 result over Leicester City at King Power Stadium.

United leapfrog rivals Liverpool into fifth place with nine points after 5 games, while Leicester remain bottom with one point.

The only goal of the game came from a swift counter from the visitors, one which would have equally delighted manager Erik ten Hag and the travelling United contingent.

Diogo Dalot found Bruno Fernandes with space on the right-wing, with the ball quickly relayed centrally to Marcus Rashford, who found Sancho's perfectly timed run with a deft pass.

The England international showed immense poise to round Danny Ward and finish into an open net.

David de Gea was forced into a fine save from James Maddison's free-kick in the second half but otherwise United were rarely troubled.

Casemiro and Cristiano Ronaldo were both introduced as substitutes, while Harry Maguire was once again resigned to the bench.
