SANDAKAN: The Sandakan Municipal Council (MPS) under a directive of the Ministry of Environment and Water, will start the No Plastic Bag Campaign here effective January 1.
MPS Municipal Secretary, Irman Tajuddin Edy, said for phase one, the categories of premises involved in this campaign include ‘hypermarkets’, ‘supermarkets’, ‘fast food’ premises, pharmacies, ‘chain stores’, ‘convenient stores’, gas stations and others.
