
SANDAKAN: A surau on Jalan SMK Beluran was destroyed in a fire on Tuesday.
Beluran Fire and Rescue Station Chief Edoen Macheal said they received an emergency call about the fire at 10.55pm.
Advertisement“The fire involved a wooden surau which was completely razed.
“Our team deployed multiple firefighting methods, including a 100-foot stream, water jet and relay line, drawing from the fire engine’s tank,” he said.

No casualties were reported. The cause and estimated losses are still under investigation.
