MANILA, Philippines — The Sandiganbayan Third Division has allowed detained former House Speaker Martin Romualdez to attend his arraignment and pre-trial via videoconference on Wednesday, September 16.
“The Sandiganbayan Third Division has GRANTED accused Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez’s Urgent Motion to Allow Attendance for Arraignment and Pre-trial via Videoconference,” Third Division Clerk of Court lawyer Dennis Pulma told The Manila Times in a Viber message late Tuesday.
Romualdez is currently detained at the Quezon City Jail–Male Dormitory in Payatas after the court ordered his transfer from the Philippine General Hospital, where doctors found him clinically stable and no longer in need of continued hospital confinement.
