SAPP wants to contest under GRS: Although aligned with the Unity Government’s main opposition rival, PN

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) will contest the next State Election under the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) logo and not Perikatan Nasional (PN) although it is also part of PN.

GRS is part of the Madani unity government of Pakatan Harapan led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim while PN is the bitter opposition led by former PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

SAPP President Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee said the party hopes to defend its traditional seat, Likas, as well as Luyang, one or two seats in Sandakan and one or two seats in Tawau, overall.

“My will (for SAPP) for the upcoming State election is to contest using the GRS logo that is headed by Datuk Seri Hajiji Haji Noor.
