
- Sara Cox is set to begin her new role as host of the BBC Radio 2 weekday breakfast show from Monday.
- The Bolton-born DJ will present the slot from 6.30 am to 9.30 am, with Hollywood actor Tom Hanks appearing as her first guest.
- Cox takes over from Scott Mills, who was sacked by the BBC following a police investigation into allegations of serious sexual offences.
- She previously hosted the teatime show on the station since 2018 and described her new breakfast role as a “dream”.
- Her new programme will feature a fresh format, incorporating popular elements from her previous teatime show.
