Sara skips mugshot, submits own photos to court

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte did not have a mugshot taken during her booking at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court, with her lawyer saying she instead submitted her own photographs to the court on Saturday.

Lawyer Paul Lawrence Lim said Duterte underwent the regular procedure and was not given special treatment despite her refusal to enter the court over concerns about police presence.

Duterte arrived at the court to post bail for the three counts of grave threats but initially refused to enter, warning that police could shut the doors and prevent the public from watching the proceedings.

Lim said Duterte’s fingerprints were taken during the booking procedure.

The lawyer also confirmed that Duterte posted P120,000 bail for each count, for a total of P360,000.

Lim said the arrest warrant against Duterte was lifted after she posted bail.
