MANILA, Philippines — Malacanang said it respects the decision made by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court after it issued an arrest warrant against Vice President Sara Duterte in the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.
“The Palace respects any decision or order of the court,” said Palace Press Officer Claire Castro in Filipino.
Asked for a comment about the vice president's claims upon arrival at the court that she has been harassed by the police since 2023 and fears she will be killed, the Palace has yet to respond.
Duterte has since posted P360,000 bail for the three counts of grave threats she allegedly made against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and former House speaker Martin Romualdez.
