Forty-nine areas nationwide were reported to have moderate air quality, while five areas recorded good readings.
KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 14 areas nationwide, including 11 in Sarawak, recorded unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings due to haze as of 9 am today.
According to the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) portal, the areas in Sarawak with unhealthy readings are IPD Serian (197), Kuching (181), Samarahan (179), Sri Aman (172), Sarikei (163), Samalaju (161), Sibu (157), Mukah (155), Bintulu (153), Miri (147) and ILP Miri (147).
The other areas recording unhealthy API levels are Kota Kinabalu Polytechnic in Sabah with a reading of 150, followed by Pasir Gudang in Johor (109) and the Federal Territory of Labuan (103).
