
Kota Kinabalu: The reinstatement of a nearly six-decade-old hotel licence fee could potentially turn Kota Kinabalu into an expensive destination to visit.
Expressing concern, the Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta) said the move could send a wrong message ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

Under the KKCH By-Laws, the fees are set at RM140 per month per occupied room for Class 1 hotels, RM80 for Class 2 and RM40 for Class 3.
