Littler continues title defence
World champion Luke Littler continues his quest to retain the World Matchplay title with a semi-final showdown against Dirk van Duijvenbode in Blackpool. The 19-year-old powered past Josh Rock on Thursday, while Dutchman Van Duijvenbode overcame 2018 champion Gary Anderson. In the other last-four match, the winner of Gerwyn Price and Ross Smith will take on James Wade or Gian van Veen. Coverage is on Sky Sports Action at 7.30pm and Sky Sports Main Event at 9pm.
Grid takes shape in Hungary
Italian teenager Kimi Antonelli has laid out his plan to dominate Formula One and become an all-time great ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix. In just his second season, the 19-year-old holds a 45-point lead at the top of the standings after winning six of the opening 10 rounds. Seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton is currently his closest rival, while Mercedes team-mate George Russell is 50 points back. Tour de France hots up
The penultimate stage of the Tour de France takes place with the 170.9 km route from Le Bourg d’Oisans to Alpe d’Huez. Slovenian rider Tadej Pogacar of UAE Team Emirates XRG is chasing a third successive title – and fifth overall. Action is live at 10am on TNT Sports 1 as the race intensifies ahead of Sunday’s finale on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.
