Nevio Scala wants to see Stefano Pioli remain in charge of AC Milan.
Pioli is under pressure at the Rossonero this season.
But Scala told TMW: "Milan is a great team, which did some incredible things in the Scudetto year. Then it stopped a bit, it has some setbacks that would be worth evaluating. However, I am a Rossoneri fan and for me the Milan is always a great team.
"Being a coach today is even more difficult, coaches are always under pressure. I believe that Pioli is doing an excellent job and that he shouldn't be afraid of being replaced.
"I think he will remain at Milan for a long, long time."
