The Swedish press are wondering whether the squad took their celebrations too far in the 5-1 World Cup win over Tunisia after coach Graham Potter ended up with a bloodied ear.

Sunday's Group F opener could not have gone better for the Swedes, who only qualified for the World Cup via the back door after Nations Leaque results gave them a play-off spot despite a dire qualification campaign.

"I don't know what happened," Englishman Potter told Swedish media. Someone has scratched or bitten me. I will have to watch the video."

The former Chelsea and West Ham boss, who only took over in October, had already amused Sweden fans by appearing at training in a cowboy hat for the tournament in North America.
