Disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred to a new federal prison in Pennsylvania after reports that he was hospitalized and sustained a head injury from a fight at his New Jersey lockup.
Combs was being transferred from FCI Fort Dix to FCI Allenwood Low, a low-security facility about 155 miles (250 kilometers) west of New York City, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press on Friday.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because they could not speak publicly.
The federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed the transfer but did not provide any other details.
The agency said it does not discuss conditions of confinement for anyone in its custody, including reasons for transfer, for privacy, safety, and security reasons.
“Decisions about inmate placement are made by the BOP, and we are not in a position to speak to the circumstances surrounding this transfer,” said Combs’ spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer.
“Sean remains focused on moving forward, and we hope that his time at the new facility will be productive and without unnecessary disruption.”

The 56-year-old rapper is serving 50 months behind bars after he was convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution last July.
According to TMZ, the disgraced music mogul was left with a head injury after he got into a fight with convicted drug lord known as Dudus.
The reported altercation occurred Friday night after Dudus, whose real name is Christopher Coke, confronted Combs about getting their fellow inmates in trouble.
Dudus and other inmates were reportedly “pissed” that Combs was exposed by a recent NBC News report for allegedly living a lavish life in prison that included using a contraband phone and drugs.
The outlet said that after the bombshell report, prison officials raided the facility twice and confiscated cell phones from Dudus and other inmates, leaving them furious.
Combs has been docked 41 days of good-conduct credit, pushing his release date back to March 2, 2028, according to the person familiar with the matter.
The BOP has denied the reports of fights and lavish living, according to TMZ.
