
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Embassy in New Delhi and the Philippine Honorary Consulate General in Kathmandu stated that they were awaiting word from Nepali authorities regarding the Filipino who was reported missing during the recent flooding in Nepal.
In a statement Friday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said it was coordinating with local authorities for Filipinos affected by the incident.
“The Philippine Embassy in New Delhi and the Philippine Honorary Consulate General in Kathmandu, Nepal are in active coordination with local authorities and stand ready to extend assistance to affected Filipinos. They are awaiting confirmation from Nepali authorities on a Filipino national who is reported missing,” the statement reads.
