The city is charting a course towards a greener and more inclusive future with the introduction of the Seberang Prai Town Grant Programme, Penang Global Tourism said in a Facebook post on Feb 15.
Supported by the Finance Ministry and orchestrated by Think City, the programme aims to infuse the area’s rapid development with sustainable and community-focused initiatives.
According to the post, the grants, ranging from RM25,000 to RM200,000, are targeted at grassroots projects that are set to bolster small town development across five key themes:
- Enhancing quality of life through better services and facilities.
- Celebrating heritage and culture.
- Building stronger communities.
- Promoting a healthy environment.
- Improving income sources through new job and training opportunities.
