RANAU: Another alternative route, here, will be opened to light vehicles starting tonight (Thursday) in addition to the existing alternative route in Kampung Sinarut Baru-Kampung Tagudon Baru which was opened earlier.
Sabah Public Works Department (PWD) Director Arman Abdul Muin said the new alternative route will go through the Sungai Takurik Bridge before entering the Pekan SIB Church area.
“This road will later become a one-way alternative route from the East Coast, for example from Sandakan,” he said.
The alternative route in Kampung Sinarut Baru-Kampung Tagudon Baru, he said, will only be used by vehicles from the direction of Kota Kinabalu.
