Second drowned boy found in Penampang river

Kota Kinabalu: The body of a second schoolboy feared drowned in a Penampang river was found today, said the Fire and Rescue Department.

Tomansi Olaf, 17, was found in Sg Moyog at 11.05am 300 metres from the department’s incident control post.

Police confirmed the boy to be dead, said the department in an update.

Yesterday, a villager found the body of Harold Walter, also 17, in the Kg Pogunon river.

Earlier, four other boys were rescued after they, Harold and Tomansi got swept away in the river where they had gone for a swim. All six were students at SM St Michael, Penampang.
