Usha Vance had a scare as she slipped while coming down the stairs of Marine Two while carrying her nine-week-old baby.
Pool cameras showed the Second Lady disembarking the helicopter at Joint Base Andrews on Monday (October 5) with her and JD Vance’s fourth child, Alec, strapped to her body in a baby carrier.
As she got to the bottom step, she appeared to slip but managed to grab the rail and right herself. She could be seen smiling shortly after.
Vance, who left the helicopter after his wife, appeared not have seen the incident.
Speaking to cameras, the Vice President said they were bringing along his wife and the newborn on the trip to Alaska, where he will stump for Republicans ahead of the midterms, because it was the last of the 50 states Usha had not visited.
