Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Economic Development Corporation (Sedco) and its subsidiary Sedcovest Holdings Sdn Bhd have partnered with the City Hall (DBKK) to explore the revitalisation of Anjung Selera and Anjung Perdana into a premier waterfront destination.
The initiative aims to enhance the overall visitor experience and boost local entrepreneurship at Likas Bay in preparation for Visit Sabah Year 2027.
During a strategic meeting co-chaired by Sedco Group general manager Datuk James Wong and Kota Kinabalu Mayor Datuk Seri Sabin Samitah, DBKK voiced support for proposed upgrading plans at Anjung Selera, which include beachfront beautification and public facility enhancements.
Sedcovest Holdings Sdn Bhd, represented by general manager Yahyah Sidek, and DBKK also agreed to explore collaborative efforts to revitalise the adjacent Anjung Perdana to create stronger operational synergy between both sites.
A joint working committee has been established to evaluate the proposed plans and drive an integrated approach for the long-term socio-economic development of the Likas waterfront.
