During the last ten days of Ramadan, Muslims worldwide eagerly anticipate the Night of Decree, also known as Laylat al-Qadr or the Night of Power.
This special night, as promised by Allah, is a time of profound blessings and miracles for the faithful. From March 31st until the end of Ramadan, Muslims will flock to mosques and spend their nights in prayer at home, seeking Allah's mercy and guidance.
Laylat al-Qadr is a solemn occasion, with believers earnestly praying for divine favor. Personally, I cherish the hope that one day I will be blessed to experience this revered night, which so many have sought but passed away without finding.
I hope you will encounter this night for the rewards are indeed immense.
On a lighter note, in today's digital age, humorous moments can arise even during such holytimes like Layla al-Qadr.
Thanks to WhatsApp, I often receive photos claiming to capture Laylat al-Qadr, usually featuring a picturesque scene.
However, I must confess that the "photo" I share with you today is of a real person—though, unfortunately, her lovely face has been cropped to avoid any legal repercussions.
One can only imagine that someone out there may have mistakenly thought they had found their own precious lady during this sacred time. Her real name is actually visible on her name tag. Look closely.
In the midst of our spiritual endeavours, it is important to maintain a sense of humour and light-heartedness. After all, as we continue our search for the elusive Night of Decree, a good laugh can be a welcome respite. But the search for that elusive night is no laughing matter to all faithful.
May you encounter this night of miracles and have a Happy Hari Raya Aidil Fitri 2024.
