Selangor boosts golf development ecosystem with new structured youth initiative

SHAH ALAM, 21 June - Selangor continues to strengthen the growth of golf sport in the state through the implementation of the Selangor Golf Sports development programme, which focuses on a more structured and continuous development of young talent.

The programme was conducted by the Selangor State Golf Sports Trust Fund Committee in collaboration with the Selangor State Development Corporation’s (PKNS) Golf Management and Services.

Twenty talented golfers were selected to participate in the one-year development programme under the management of Royal Selangor Golf Club to enhance their performance and produce more quality players.

The initiative was formalised during the handover ceremony for the cooperation contract and appointment letter for the Selangor Golf Sports development programme, in conjunction with the closing of the 2026 Selangor Amateur Open Championship at the Bukit Beruntung Golf and Country Resort yesterday.
