SHAH ALAM, June 11 — Selangor FC will continue to receive RM10 million from the state government as the Red Giants prepare for the 2025/2026 Malaysia League season, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
Amirudin said the funding will be supported by contributions from Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, and the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).

“The budget remains the same, with subsidiaries like MBI and PKNS contributing as shareholders in the Red Giants.
“On the state government’s side, we will continue to allocate RM10 million, just as we did in previous years,” he told reporters after officiating the 2024 Selangor State Sports Awards held at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Building here yesterday.
Amirudin added: “I hope to see improvements in player selection, especially foreign players, so we can target at least one trophy this season,” he said.
Last season, Selangor FC finished runners-up in the Super League, which earned them a spot in the AFC Champions League.
