SHAH ALAM – All educational institutions under the Selangor State Education Department will operate as usual on Monday.
In a statement on Sunday, the department said all outdoor activities would be suspended, while students attending school were encouraged to wear face masks.
“Parents or guardians who are concerned about their children’s health are allowed to keep them home from school, provided they inform the school authorities,” the statement said.
The department added that school administrators must continuously monitor the Air Pollutant Index (API) readings issued by the Department of Environment and pay particular attention to students at higher risk.
“Parents, guardians and school staff are also advised to refer to JPN Selangor’s official communication channels or their respective schools for accurate and up-to-date information,” it said.
