Selangor State Election: 2 seats slim majority

PH emerged victorious in 34 out of 56 State Assembly seats, while PN secured 22 seats in Selangor.

SHAH ALAM - The 15th State Election delivered a diverse range of outcomes for each participating party.

Among the noteworthy results was the slim majority victories in Selangor, where candidates from Pakatan Harapan (PH) - Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition and Perikatan Nasional (PN) competed.

Based on the official results from the Election Commission, the PN candidate for the Taman Medan State Assembly seat Dr. Afif Bahardin secured victory with a slim majority of 30 votes.

He garnered a total of 22,316 votes, while his PH rival Ahmad Akhir Pawan Chik received 22,286 votes.

Another result in Gombak Setia saw BN candidate Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin, conceding defeat by a narrow margin of 58 votes to the PN candidate Muhammad Hilman Idham who received 30,299 votes.

Overall, PH emerged victorious in 34 out of 56 State Assembly seats, while PN secured 22 seats.
