A screenshot of a conversation between a landlord and a potential renter went viral on Facebook due to its absurdity.

The renter, seeking more information about an ad he thought was for a room, messaged the landlord on WhatsApp. The ensuing replies left netizens shaking their heads.

The landlord sent a picture showing what appeared to be a corner of the room in a single bed and a few frames on the wall, stating that the rent would be RM170 per month.

When the renter asked, "Is this a room?" the landlord responded, "No, this is the living room with a single bed, if you're interested."

The renter, clearly taken aback, replied to the landlord with a touch of sarcasm: "I hope you'll get rich soon."

Netizens critized the landlord for their audacity to offer the bare minimum to renters, neglecting their privacy in a bid to maximize profit.

Some landlords focus solely on profits without considering their renters comfort.
