Delegations of 11 schools participated in a three-day seminar, ‘Awakening the Inner Compass in Gen Alpha’, that concluded at Pinegrove School, Dharampur in Solan district. Head teacher Sanjay Chauhan accorded a warm welcome to the delegates of the Boarding School Association of India. The seminar commenced with an inspiring introductory address by the president of the Boarding School Association of India, Capt AJ Singh. A distinguished panel of speakers comprising Lt Gen S Kulkarni, Suresh Srinivasan and Mona Verma conducted the enriching sessions.

The speakers emphasised the importance of enhancing one’s spiritual quotient and highlighted emotional intelligence, purposeful living and the significance of attaining inner happiness, balance and holistic well-being amidst the complexities of the modern world. Music and dance performances by students, along with an engaging ice-breaking session conducted by Arunodai Sharma, stood out as memorable highlights. The final day featured a visit to The Lawrence School, Sanawar. Welcomed by Headmistress Ruchi Pradhan Datta, the delegates experienced warm hospitality and were provided with a valuable opportunity to explore the time-honoured traditions, ethos and functioning of Asia’s oldest co-educational boarding school.

The seminar proved to be an immensely insightful and enriching experience for all participants.
