A senior Selangor CID officer was found dead in Shah Alam, with police classifying the case as a sudden death report.

PETALING JAYA: Police have confirmed the death of a senior officer from the Selangor Criminal Investigation Department (CID), who is believed to have fallen from an apartment building in Seksyen 14, Shah Alam.

Police were alerted to the incident earlier this morning at around 3.17am. The officer was confirmed dead at the scene, according to a statement.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR).

Police are currently awaiting the post-mortem results.

Shazeli also conveyed his condolences to the officer’s family and reminded the public not to spread speculation about the case that could potentially disrupt police investigations.
