SARAWAK and Johor accounted for nine of the 14 locations recording unhealthy air quality this morning, with Serian registering the country's highest air pollution index (API) reading at 191 as haze continued to affect parts of Malaysia.

According to the latest data from the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS), Sarawak recorded three of the highest readings, with Kuching at 186 and Samarahan at 182, alongside Serian.

In Johor, Batu Pahat and Pasir Gudang both recorded API readings of 159, followed by Kluang (157), Larkin (154), Kota Tinggi (153) and Tangkak (113).
