Serian district in Sarawak recorded an unhealthy API reading of 151 as of 9am today, while 63 other areas nationwide logged moderate air quality.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Serian District Police Headquarters (IPD) in Sarawak recorded an unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 151 as of 9 am today.
According to the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) portal, 63 other areas nationwide logged moderate readings.
They included Sri Aman, Sarawak (98); Batu Pahat, Johor (81); Cheras, Kuala Lumpur (69); Klang, Selangor (62); and Kimanis, Sabah (56).
Only three areas recorded good air quality: Tanah Merah, Kelantan (47); Langkawi, Kedah (46); and Besut, Terengganu (43).
An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and anything above 300 hazardous.
