Kota Kinabalu: Power generation capacity in Sabah and Labuan is at 1,070 megawatts (MW) on Wednesday, but no power rationing is expected, said Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB).

Its Sabah and Federal Territory of Labuan Grid System Chief Operator Adrian Mosigil said the maximum demand for electricity is expected to reach up to 1,041MW.

“However, SESB still has a margin reserve of 29MW as supply stock energy in the event of an emergency or excess demand at that time.

“Therefore, it is predicted that power rationing is not likely to happen,” he said in a statement, Wednesday.
