KOTA KINABALU: Sabah will celebrate the 74th Official Birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri with a grand celebration in June, highlighted by a ceremonial parade at Padang Merdeka involving over 80 contingents from various sectors.
Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam said seven key events have been planned, including a state banquet, special media briefing, religious prayers, and community programmes to reflect unity and honour TYT’s leadership.
Preparations began in February, with a full rehearsal scheduled ahead of the celebration. Local authorities will also display birthday billboards statewide. Joachim urged the public to attend and continue praying for TYT’s wellbeing.
