Several Roads In Penang, Selangor Closed for LTdL 2024

image is not available In conjunction with Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2024, a number of roads in and around the Hulu Selangor, Ampang, and Kajang districts will be temporarily closed and rerouted on October 2 and 3.

Road closures on October 2, starting at noon, will affect routes starting from Dataran Pekan Hulu Selangor, such as Jalan Dato Muda Jaafar, Jalan Rasathurai, Jalan Mat Kilau, Jalan Merdeka, Jalan Syed Mansor, Jalan Kuala Lumpur/Tanjung Malim, Jalan Ampang Pechah, Jalan Kuala Kubu/Fraser Hill, and Sungai Selangor Dam, according to Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.

Closures will begin at KLCC on October 3rd at 11 a.m. and affect the following roads: Jalan Ampang, Jalan Taman Putra, Jalan Hulu Langat, Jalan Bukit Ampang Menara Tinjau, Jalan Sungai Tekali, Jalan Bukit Hantu, Jalan Sungai Lalang, Jalan Semenyih, Jalan Tasik Kesuma, and Jalan Beranang.

According to Hussein, the district's Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department will gradually implement these closures and diversions based on the race stages in order to maintain safe and orderly traffic in the affected areas. In Butterworth, Several roads in the Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) district will be closed and rerouted on September 30 (Monday) in preparation for the road race. 128 participants in LTDL 2024, according to SPU district police chief ACP Anuar Abdul Rahman, will follow the route starting at the Merdeka Bridge, which separates SPU from Kuala Muda, Kedah, and ending at the Dataran Pemuda Butterworth here. “Participants will pass Jalan Bumbun Lima, Jalan Kedah, Jalan Titi Mukim, Jalan Teluk Air Tawar, Jalan Bagan Ajam, Jalan Kampung Gajah, and Jalan Bagan Luar and end at Dataran Pemuda Butterworth. “During the race, the roads travelled by the LTdL 2024 participants will be closed and diverted to the public starting at 8pm on Sept 29, along Jalan Bagan Luar opposite the Petron gas station will be closed for tent installation work,” he said in a statement. Drivers should use the Butterworth Outer Ring Road (BORR) to get to Bagan Luar, he said. Starting at 1 pm and lasting until 3 pm, the route from BORR to Jalan Heng Choon Thian will be closed.

Annuar also announced that Jalan Bagan Luar will be closed from 1 to 3 p.m. Traffic heading toward Jalan Heng Choon Thian from BORR will be rerouted to Jalan Heng Choon Thian from the Butterworth Kulim Expressway (BKE).
