France coach Didier Deschamps has again sung the praises of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud after Thursday's victory over Moldova.
Giroud struck from the spot to secure a 2-1 Euros qualifying win and Deschamps was keen to highlight the professionalism of the veteran given his lack of minutes at club level with Chelsea.
Deschamps enthused: "There is no magic formula. Already, it is him, in relation to his mind and the fact that he is in very great condition even if he does not have the rhythm.
"He is a very athletic, fit person who does the right thing without playing. And after, the fact that he comes back here. He knows we have a lot of confidence in him.
"During the World Cup (in Russia) where he did not score, he was very very useful in the games, maybe not to score, but for others to score. That's Olivier, in a specific role. We like, we do not like. His career in the French team is still a very very high level."
