Kota Kinabalu: A move to topple the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) State Government failed, Thursday, when nearly half of the 17 Sabah Umno State assembly members refused to sign Statutory Declarations pledging support for it.
It was believed that six – Datuk Shahelmey Yahya, Datuk James Ratib, Datuk Jasni Daya, Datuk Harun Durabi, Datuk Yusof Yaakob and Datuk Andi Muhammad – were also against the to-be-formed Warisan-BN State Government having Datuk Shafie Apdal as Chief Minister, Datuk Bung Moktar as Deputy CM and Datuk Salleh Said Keruak as Finance Minister.
What was to be a n0-confidence move against Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji ended instead in a no-confidence move against Sabah Umno head Bung.
