The Portland Trail Blazers have just agreed to a fascinating trade with the Memphis Grizzlies for Ja Morant.
After seven years in Memphis, Morant has been traded to the Blazers in exchange for Jerami Grant and Kris Murray.
The point guard will join Damian Lillard, Deni Avdija and Donovan Clingan on the Western Conference team.
The Blazers could even be a dark horse contender as long as Morant returns to his best in this different situation.
They have also been linked with a surprise move for the Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown, which would take them to another level.
ESPN insider Shams Charania has now revealed whether the Blazers are likely to trade for Brown after Morant.
Shams Charania’s update on Portland’s Jaylen Brown trade plans
The Blazers have a surplus of guards after trading for Morant: Lillard, Scoot Henderson, Jrue Holiday, and Shaedon Sharpe.
If they seriously want to make a deep postseason run next season, they should probably trade for an All-Star forward.

The Celtics are not looking to trade Brown, but they did offer him in a package for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Even though the offer was rejected, many have presumed that Brown will be frustrated with the Celtics front office.
If he were to demand a trade, the Trail Blazers should be one of the first teams on the phone to the Celtics.
However, Charania has reported that Brown will not be heading to the Blazers to play alongside Morant this summer.
“This was their big move,” Charania said. “As of right now, my understanding is they are not involved with Jaylen Brown.
“They made attempts with Giannis Antetokounmpo, obviously didn’t land him.”
Things change quickly in the NBA, but it seems that the Blazers consider Morant to be the final piece of the puzzle.
For that to be the case, the point guard will need to have a bounce-back year after three injury-riddled seasons with the Grizzlies.
