
BRONICA Sikula has been appointed the new Sabah DAP Wanita Chief succeeding Clare Taunek.
The new leadership would pursue several key initiatives, including advocating for 30 per cent women representation in decision-making roles, pushing for marriage only after 18 years and enhancing support for single mothers.

The Sabah DAP Wanita 2025 Ordinary Convention was chaired by Kasthuriraani Patto, Vice Chief of DAP Wanita Malaysia and attended by Teo Nie Ching, National Chief of DAP Wanita Malaysia, who is also the Deputy Minister of Communications and Member of Parliament for Kulai.

She noted that as of 2024, 40 per cent of DAP’s membership consists of women, reflecting its strong foundation for achieving 30 per cent representation in decision making roles.

Others in the new line-up are Clare Taunek Simbat (Deputy Chief), Yiska Lassan (Secretary), Jennifer Toyou (Assistant Secretary), Chang Shook Yee (Treasurer), Chang Lee Chu (Organising Secretary), Chin Su Ping (Assistant Organising Secretary), Alison Wong See Yii (Publicity Secretary), Lai Shiau Lin (Assistant Publicity Secretary) and Grelydia Gillod (Political Education Director.
