A Malaysian father has touched hearts online after he was seen carrying his daughter with cerebral palsy across the finish line of the 2026 Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM).
The father, Wira Sudepja Rabu, 51, shared the moment on social media after completing the race with his daughter, Nur Wadihan, 18, affectionately known as Dihan.

‘She ain’t heavy, she’s my baby’
In the video, Wira could be seen jogging along the final stretch while carrying Dihan in his arms as fellow runners and spectators cheered them on.
Another runner was also seen alongside them pushing what appeared to be a specialised stroller for Dihan.

The pair eventually crossed the finish line together, with Wira holding his daughter close.
His message was simple:
She ain’t heavy, she’s my baby.”
The emotional moment came shortly after Dihan turned 18 and also coincided with World Cerebral Palsy Day.
Dad has been bringing her to races for years
This was far from their first sporting event together.
Wira told 8world that he has been bringing Dihan to running and cycling activities for around 11 years, despite her having severe quadriplegic cerebral palsy.
Dihan is unable to walk or speak and requires full-time assistance for daily activities, including eating and drinking.

Wira said the family has always believed that having a disability should not mean someone has to stay at home or miss out on experiencing life.
He has reportedly taken Dihan to hundreds of sporting events, including races overseas. Earlier this year, he said they had participated in more than 300 running events, with the pair even completing an ultra marathon together.
Dihan once entered Malaysia Book of Records
Dihan has also made history before.
In 2018, she was inducted into the Malaysia Book of Records as the first child with cerebral palsy to complete a duathlon, after participating in the Kerian Incredible Duathlon.
For Wira, joining these events has never been about speed or competition.
He said the purpose is to give Dihan a chance to be part of the community and experience life alongside everyone else.
The KLSCM finish line became yet another milestone for the father and daughter — and a moment that reminded many Malaysians that for one dad, no matter how old she gets, Dihan will always be his baby.
