However, what happened afterwards left the couple caught in an awkward situation.

According to the account shared online, the woman came across the wallet and brought it home. Her husband later took responsibility for finding the owner and returning the wallet, believing that the matter would end there.

But after the wallet was returned, they discovered that RM10,000 in cash was missing.

The sudden discovery immediately raised questions about what had happened to the money.

The couple had only intended to return a lost item to its owner, but the missing RM10,000 turned the situation into something far more complicated. Since the wallet had passed through different hands before being returned, it was unclear when or where the money had disappeared.

The incident also sparked discussion among netizens, with some questioning whether the couple should have checked the wallet carefully before handling it, while others felt that returning a lost wallet was already the right thing to do.

There were also concerns about how the wallet owner might react after discovering the missing cash. Without clear evidence showing who had taken the money, accusing anyone could potentially create an even bigger dispute. It is still under investigation….
