MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Saturday said that a shearline is affecting several parts of Mindanao, bringing cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms.
Affected were the provinces of Caraga, Davao Region, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Camiguin, and Misamis Oriental.
Pagasa warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains along these areas.
Meanwhile, most of the country are expected to have some light rains because of the northwest monsoon or “amihan.”
Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, the rest of Eastern Visayas, the rest of Northern Mindanao, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, and Oriental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with light rains, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.
The temperature range for the day is from 20.1 to 29.5 degrees Celsius, with 44 to 84 percent relative humidity.
