Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder remains confident Daniel Jebbison will sign a new deal.
With his contract running down, Jebbison is being linked with Newcastle and Tottenham.
"He's one of the younger ones," Wilder said. "That was put on the backburner because of his injury but there's been real positive talks between Steve [Bettis, United chief executive], his representative, his family and me - I've been involved in that as well.
"I know the boy wants to stay, he's never given any other indication to me and his family hasn't said that he wants to move away.
"And we'll be delighted if we can tie another of our promising youngsters up."
