Sheffield United are in talks with veteran goalkeeper Jed Steer.
Steer is a free agent after coming off contract at Aston Villa at the end of last season.
The Blades are in need for keeper cover after third-choice stopper Jordan Amissah suffered an injury in an U21 game last week.
The Sun's Alan Nixon is reporting talks are underway between the Blades and Steer's agents.
It's suggested a deal is close to being struck.
