Sheikh Jassim remains confident of completing his takeover of Manchester United.
Despite reports of the Glazers now favouring selling a minority stake to a financial company and maintaining control of the club, Sheikh Jassim is convinced he will soon complete his purchase of United.
The Guardian says Jassim's conviction is quite strong, even though several new bids have recently been made to the Glazers.
American investment company Carlyle Group has joined the battle to buy a minority stake, while Ares Management, another American company, has also made a bid.
Sheik Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani's proposal will be debt-free, while INEOS owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who has also been in the bidding war from the start, is offering a package that requires a loan.
