Per The Mirror, the Qatari bid will go up to 5.5 billion this week after they met with United representatives last week.
Ratcliffe has stated in a recent Wall Street Journal interview that he was reluctant to overpay for United.
He is not believed to have put in an offer that reaches such a figure, clearing the way for the Qataris.
