Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Ltd (SSPC) has awarded a five-year contract for deepwater operations and maintenance services to an unincorporated joint venture between two Sabah companies, Solvantis Services Sdn Bhd and Evolusi Bersatu Sdn Bhd.
The contract, covering 2026 to 2031, will support the safe and efficient operations of SSPC’s Gumusut-Kakap Semi-Floating Production System and Malikai Tension Leg Platform, while supporting Sabah’s oil and gas services and equipment (OGSE) sector.
SSPC also awarded a contract to Integrated Petroleum Services Sdn Bhd and its Sabahan joint venture partner Emas Dinamik Sdn Bhd for the Malikai Phase 3 mooring system and associated services to support planned drilling activities offshore Sabah.
The Malikai Phase 3 contract covers project management, engineering, procurement, equipment inspection and preparation, marine vessel provision, offshore surveys, installation, hook-up, operational support and subsequent disconnection of the mooring and hawser systems in water depths of 500 metres.
Shell Malaysia Country Chair and Senior Vice President Upstream Malaysia Siti Sulaiman said the awards underscored SSPC’s commitment to safe and reliable deepwater operations while creating opportunities for Sabahan companies to participate in higher-value and more complex work.
