The son of a newly elected municipal councillor of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and two others have been booked for allegedly attempting to run over a woman whose husband lost the election as an Independent candidate. The incident reportedly occurred outside the woman’s residence near Peerkhana here on Monday.
Nazia Begum, wife of Nazim Hussain, sustained serious injuries. Tho prime accused has been identified as Karanveer Singh, son of councillor Gurmeet Singh.
